At the beginning of fourth quarter, eighth grade students viewed examples of ancient Egyptian and Roman art. From these examples, they could see that even in ancient times, people kept many animals as household pets including cats, dogs, monkeys, gazelles, and birds. Students then had the opportunity to sculpt their own pets.
